About Our Founder
I'm Sam Langdon. I'm a senior at New Trier High School where I currently take Multivariable Calculus. I love to play water polo, spend time with friends and family, hike, and root for the Detroit Lions. I'm very interested in math, economics, and business. I'm involved in DECA (business club), where I serve as New Trier's co-president and have medaled at the international level. I’ve greatly enjoyed the past two years running the WMC and I’m excited to continue this year!

Sunny Yu
Head of Marketing
My name is Sunny Yu and I am a senior at New Trier High School. Ever since an early age, I have been studying enriched math. Now, I am taking Multivariable Calculus. I tutor other high school students in math in our school’s academic assistance center. Additionally, I often help my friends with their math homework and go over their tests with them. In my free time, I play the violin, read books, and practice tennis with my teammates. I enjoy helping others with something I excel at and I hope to help kids love learning more about math.
I’m a junior at New Trier High School who will be taking Pre-Calculus this upcoming year. I play varsity soccer. I have experience working with youth such as volunteering at the Wilmette Public Library, coaching youth soccer lessons, and babysitting. In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer, participating in DECA, and spending time with friends and family. I’m looking forward to my third year of helping kids excel at the Math Circle!

I’m a junior at New Trier High School with a strong passion for math. This year, I’ll be taking AP Calculus BC. Outside of the classroom, I’m involved in the New Trier Sports Analytics Club and the Entrepreneurship Club. I also play on the baseball team. I’ve previously tutored 7th-grade students in math and given baseball lessons. I’m excited for my third year of sharing my enthusiasm for math and helping students grow their skills and confidence.

I’m Luke Sumption, a junior at New Trier High School. I am currently taking Pre-Calculus. I love spending time with friends and family, being outside, and volunteering. I play hockey and lacrosse. My experiences volunteering with the young kids are mentoring young Hockey players at my club, and being a volunteer for the Wilmette Summer Reading Club. I am so excited to be a part of the Wilmette Math Circle and helping the next generation of mathematicians.
My name is Jaya Vasudevan, and I’m a sophomore at New Trier High School. I have been part of the New Trier Township Math Program since 7th grade and am currently taking Pre-Calculus. I enjoy exploring challenging problems and applying mathematical thinking to science and engineering. Through G-Force Girls STEM Club, I organize STEM activities and experiments for younger students. Outside of school, I enjoy flag football, soccer, and volunteering in my community. I’m excited to be part of the Wilmette Math Circle and help students develop their math skills, confidence, and problem-solving abilities!

My name is Bella Zou and I am a junior at New Trier High School. I am taking Pre-Calculus. I am involved in clubs like Girls Club and Kinesis. Outside of school, I love dancing, reading and spending time with my friends and family. I’ve had the opportunity to work with youth as a summer volunteer at the Wilmette Public Library, babysitting and as an assistant dance teacher. I’m excited to support younger students and help them feel more confident in math.
I’m Aaron Langdon, a freshman at New Trier High School where I’m currently taking high honors geometry. I enjoy swimming and playing various other sports with friends and family. I volunteer at the library and participate in clubs such as DECA. I am very excited to be a part of the Math Circle this year and years to come.

Outside of school, I play soccer and field hockey, and I love to hang out with my friends and family. I have experience working with younger students through babysitting and volunteering.
