Spring Session: 1/24-3/8

Session Information

Who: Each class consists of 4-5 students and 2 instructors.

​

What: Fun, engaging math lessons and activities.

​

When: Saturdays and Sundays (1:00-1:50 for grades 2/3, 2:00-2:50 for grades 4/5). Classes meet every other week beginning 1/24 and ending 3/8.

​

Where: Wilmette Public Library, 1242 Wilmette Ave, Junior High Section (right outside the main elevator, photo attacted)

​

Why: Because it's fun!

Sample Session Topics

"Yes, Chef"

Learn how fractions are used in cooking.  Work through serving sizes and recipes and solve the chef's quiz!​

​​

"What's Your Best Guess?"

Learn how to predict the future and make educated guesses using probabilities.  â€‹

​​

"Mathematical Masterpieces"

Learn how math plays a role in art.  Using concepts such as ratios, perimeter and scale, you'll determine the outcome of the projects.

​

"Mathletes and Athletes"

Help solve sports-themed problems.  Understand how math is present in every sport.
